Fashion

Let me start off by saying, this isn't (and probably will never be) a fashion blog. I'm afraid I just wasn't born with that gene. My sister was, that enough for one household to handle! But I think about Fashion quite alot! I mean what is Fashion, it has evolved though the years, you go back to the 1900s and it changed by the decade, you type in 1920s you get quite a similar dress sense that entire decade, same throughout up until.. Now! Where it changes (seemingly) every hour. I don't have the time or patience for something that ever changing.


And when people say after a few years 'Oh I can't believe I wore that!!!' . . I can because it was the Fashion. Of course you wore it! All the shops were selling it at the time! Everyone wore it. That's why everyone's school disco pictures look exactly the same!


I probably wore it!


But then my dress send changed when I hit year 8... The last year of middle school. I found my mums old long black cardigan! And suddenly ... GOTH! Yes I was mega Goth, my underwear draw was Black, my wardrobe was Blaaaack. I was called satan, freak, both, emo ... Etc.


But I loved it, it wasn't unique, it was black it was just ... Black. I felt like I wasn't seen when I wore it. But I was. Of course I was. I was a target because I wore Black and liked rock music. Blah blah blah I was bullied, whatever.


I'm in no way condoning bullying. But it happened, it's my past. Can't change it, wouldn't if I could.


But my dress sense changed suddenly... I stopped wearing so much black, I still like rock to most music but I do like other music. I don't follow a certain fashion. But if it was to be categorized it would probably be 90s, jeans, trainers, t-shirt with a slogan or picture and a flannel shirt and my hair always up! And that's me. I like it.
Not to say I don't occasionally wear other things but it is mostly that. I suppose its a confidence issue at the end of the day but that's by the by. I'm a bigger girl. Simple as that.


I do like Fashion this day an age though, it's not just one thing for a decade, its everything! I love seeing girls and guys in all different styles and fashions. Its amazing even seeing outfits making a come back from different decades. Its an evolution of fashion right outside our windows. We don't have to stick to one style or another because there are hundreds upon hundreds of different ways to express yourself. To show your personality through an outfit!


As I've said, I'm not a fashionista or a style icon bit who is nowadays!

Hello!

I don't think I can count how many times I've restarted this blog. I either don't ever remember or get bored or worst case I just don't know what to write about... Or I'm just really busy with the tiny bundle of destruction in my household. We called him Jack for short.


But yet again here I am proclaiming the start of my blog yet again! I'm not going to make any promises at this point because the likelihood is I may forget to post again for months and start again... Again. Again.


So here it goes! Another start! Wish me luck!


I'm Ellie! Hello!


This is my soon to be failing blog, say hello! I am a mummy, wife, gamer, reader, collector and baker! I would say cook but I'm still working on that! I will probably write about all of those things though I'm not an expert of any of them.. Well reading maybe! I can read so I guess that would make me .. Sort of an expert in that field!


I live on the Isle of Wight in the south of England. Yes we're part of the UK and No you do not need a passport to get here. I've lived here my entire life apart for one year where I ventured to London to do a course in specialist make up. I liked it but I'm definitely an Island girl at heart... Plus money ran out.


At this point in time I'm a full time mummy. Not yummy mummy (hate that term more then ..enter something you hate here..). I have a Jack, a demonic overlord who seeks to destroy everything and smiles when I say ouch or no. He's cute though so we kept him.


I'm sure if I keep this up, I'll give it my best shot!, then you'll learn more about me as we go along! But for now that's me 😊


Now I just need to think what my first proper post will be about. Yaaaay!
